Weep not for me though I am gone i nto that gentle night.

Grieve if you will, but not for long u pon my soul's sweet flight.

I am at peace, my soul's at rest t here is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed fo r all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not, t he fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts, i n your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath, r emember not the strife.

Please do not dwell upon my death, b ut celebrate my life.

Cosmo
My wife and I both adopted "Boston" and renamed him to Cosmo from AZBTR on December 13, 2008. We named him Cosmo because it was fitting to his erratic, creative, scheming characteristic. Marisa and I came up with the name because we were watching a Seinfeld rerun, the very episode that Kramer revealed his first name, Cosmo. Kramer was also an erratic, eccentric, schemer. It was just appropriate.

Cosmo's story in a nutshell:  He was surrendered to AZBTR from a previous owner that left him out to starve and to tolerate the brutal heat with minimal water. Cosmo made several successful escapes and this was his way of surviving and calling out for help. He was severely underweight and in relatively poor health.

Our story:
Cosmo passed away on Wednesday June 17th, 2015 from a suspected respiratory/cardiac failure from an poisonous insect bite.

We adopted him to be a companion to another female Boston, Leila that was one year older than him. We adopted Leila from AZBTR a year earlier.

Cosmo had grown to become a significant part of this family and helped Leila transition better from a rejection/abandonment situation. Almost a year later, Cosmo had gained weight, his coat looked brilliant, his health was fully restored and was a happy little runt. Almost a year later, my daughter was born and when she was brought home, Cosmo and my daughter, Haley, became friends for life.

Cosmo would always chew on his favorite Nylabone whenever he had the chance. He enjoyed rough play, car rides, walks, parks and the alike. He would always follow one of us around. He would greet us whenever anybody came home with a burst of energy. It was a rare moment that he would not be in our scene of life at the homestead. He would always wag his right-angle tail anytime he was called without looking. He was an extremely lovable brat that loved everybody and the attention he received.

He passed comfortably and quickly without suffering in our arms and was not alone.

Katie Maureen

Katie Maureen passed away on April 5, 2015. She had two distinct periods in her 15 year life: before and happiness. I believe that all she cared about were the happy times she had with our family and the love she found with Felix. Katie adopted Felix as her puppy the moment they met, and they spent nearly 5 years sleeping with their heads pressed together and being two goofy peas in a pod. It was hard to get a photo of Katie alone because Felix was always next to her. Katie was gentle with Felix and kind to Maggie, even when they were both being obnoxious. Katie taught me that patience can bring great rewards such as the trust, devotion, and love of an amazing dog. We love and miss you, Katie Maureen. ~Felix, Maggie, and Mom

Duke

Duke became a part of our family in November 2011.  He was rescued by Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue at about age 9.  He was our very first family pet.    We will remember Duke for being so calm, mellow and dignified.  He came to us knowing how to walk perfectly on a leash.  Duke was not one to snuggle up close to us but he would always be in the same room as us.  He loved to lick us and always had hope that we would feed him from the dinner table (which we never did).  Duke passed in January 2015.  We are so blessed to have had him in our family for three years.

Buster

December 26, 2014

Dear Arizona Boston Terrier Rescue of AZ.

Please accept this donation in memory of our little Buster.  He crossed over the rainbow bridge this December after being a member of our family for over 13 years.  We were blessed to have such a wonderful addition to our family.

Even though Buster was not originally a rescue, we have participated in picnics, events and donation drives and we it is an honor to donate to this amazing rescue.

Best wishes to all..we are dealing with our loss now but in the new year we will be completing an application with AZBTR to once again add a loving Boston to our family.

KC

Hello AZBTR, my name is KC (9 years old) and I'm from Surprise Arizona. I crossed the "Rainbow Bridge" on October 13th, 2014 with the help of my parents, who so lovingly recognized my need to say goodbye. I came into this world and had a great older brother Corky, but that was way too short, less than 3 years. Luckily we got Butkus in 2008, Bowman in 2009, and Satch in 2011, all my Boston Terrier brothers. I really miss those guys, and I am happy they have such a good BT loving home. I hear that momma and papa gave a new baby a good home to keep the nest nice and full, and his name is Fenway. I want to challenge my parents to always find room in your hearts to adding more family members as the years float by. Thank you momma and papa for contributing money in my name to AZBTR, to help such terrific people who dedicate their lives to helping needy Boston Terriers, and finding not only foster homes, but placing these great BT's in permanent homes. I challenge my parents to keep supporting AZBTR and others who have the means to lend a hand, provide some supplies, or make a donation. It doesn't surprise me that my parents would donate money in my name and me and others who have crossed over, see all the great things all of you do to show compasion for those BT's in need. Yes I miss you papa, and all my brothers, but most of all, I miss my momma, and I want her to know, that after she told me goodbye, I felt your hand come to me one more time and she gave me that last kiss to last till we meet up again. I love you momma and I wish you a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful new year with that new sweet baby Fenway, and my brothers Butkus, Bowman and Satch. Thank you again AZBTR, you guys are amazing........KC (Staples)
