Weep not for me though I am gone i
nto that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long u
pon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest t
here is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed fo
r all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not, t
he fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts, i
n your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath, r
emember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death, b
ut celebrate my life.
![]() Princess Dori graduated to heaven yesterday April 11, 2017. We had the privilege of spoiling her since July of 2015. Her heart was bigger than her tiny 15 lb frame. Loving her was so easy and so very fulfilling. Rest now sweet angel. Momma adores you.
![]() The Satuday I walked into Pet Planet to see the available Bostons one firey little girl named Oreo ran up to meet me. Although I looked at the other dogs, my heart was already stolen. I week later she was mine and we had 5 wonderful years together. Although she mellowed with age she was still my loving girl ready with kisses for everyone. She will be missed, not only by me but by her Grandpa Bob. Sweet dreams little one. ![]() It is with great pain that I have to inform you of the passing of Minnie, my beloved companion. Minnie came to us several years ago. I say that she came to us because the moment she walked through the front door, she knew she was home. Minnie has been with us since. Minnie passed away today from unknown causes. She was happy and full of vigor as I had just returned from a short trip…She was glad to see me. Minnie was my companion and best friend. She will be sorely missed. Attached is a photo of Minnie laying on the deck next the pool…Her favorite place to sock in the morning sun.
![]() My sweet Phoebe (Feebs) crossed the rainbow bridge in my arms on January 9, 2015 after a heartbreaking battle with degenerative myelopathy. She was approximately 12 years old.
AZBTR rescued Phoebe from MCACC in Spring 2011. She needed surgery to remove a tumor; AZBTR stepped up and rescued her a second time by paying for the surgery she needed to be considered adoptable. As soon as she healed, she made an appearance at the April 2011 AZBTR Picnic where I met her (then named Kahlua). I decided to adopt her on the spot; she was my first dog, my first furry child.
After 6 months, Phoebe and I welcomed another furry child, a puppy named Lily Bunny. Phoebe was the patient, very tolerant older sister that tolerated all the puppy shenanigans without acting out once. Feebs was always the well-behaved, super sweet girl. The next few years, Feebs suffered multiple surgeries for lipomas, mass cell tumors, and Keratotomy surgery in both eyes (causing the loss of one eye in 2014). When it came to health, Phoebe could never catch a break; even so, she bounced back from every surgery full of life and always happy.
I was truly blessed to have Phoebe in my life, even though we were together only 4 short years, she taught me about unconditional love and the irreplaceable bond between a human and their dog. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about my Feebs and the joy she brought me. I miss her every day.
Thank you AZBTR, if not for your organization and dedicated volunteers, I never would have had the life-changing experience of Phoebe in my life. I am forever grateful for everything you do. ![]() Cassie Marie l
oved her pack, her treats, eating dinner, and a good cushioned bed. She was the cutest thing on earth with a spunky little attitude despite her age and health issues. She was so brave and strong. Her tap dancing feet will be missed. Good Journey little friend.
