Weep not for me though I am gone i
nto that gentle night.
Grieve if you will, but not for long u
pon my soul's sweet flight.
I am at peace, my soul's at rest t
here is no need for tears.
For with your love I was so blessed fo
r all those many years.
There is no pain, I suffer not, t
he fear now all is gone.
Put now these things out of your thoughts, i
n your memory I live on.
Remember not my fight for breath, r
emember not the strife.
Please do not dwell upon my death, b
ut celebrate my life.
![]() I just sent in a donation but forgot to say it was from Oliver and Parker in honor of Maggie. I haven't been able to talk about her and even now it is difficult. I lost Maggie in March of 2013. We only had her for a couple of years, she was 9 or 10 when we got her, but what an impact she had on our family. In February 2012 I was diagnosed with leukemia and lived in Los Angeles for my treatment while my husband, daughter and dogs stayed in Prescott. Maggie was always there for my daughter, keeping her strong and loved. Even though the "boys" were good to her, Maggie always knew when more was needed. I came home at Christmas last year cancer free and a bone marrow transplant survivor and Maggie was there for me too. She and Ollie vied for who would get to sit next to me. Maggie started to have seizures and was diagnosed with cushings in March. We started medications but she didn't respond and her seizures became more often and worse. I did not catch it soon enough and it was time to let her go. She was a wonderful little girl full of life and kept the boys in line. She was queen of the dog park. She greeted everyone there and joined any pack that was walking the perimeter. Then she would find a friendly dog chasing balls and she'd chase him. She wasn't fond of sharing Ollie with others and would interfere when he would start to play with others. And with Parker she would cuddle. Most of all she loved and smiled and was happy. Thank you for letting me adopt her. I miss her every day. Parker who used to be Sproket is doing well. He is one of the sweetest Bostons I have ever known. One of his special things he does is hop when he is happy. He has also figured out how to roll down the car window so now I have to keep them on lock position. He just had a mast tumor removed and his teeth cleaned (and few teeth removed). He has recovered nicely since his surgery. Oliver who we got from Craig's list, he was being re-homed, is feisty as ever and boys are good friends. I was trying to send you a picture of Maggie and the boys but my computer is not cooperating. I will try again later. Thank you for letting me go on and on. Thank you for all you do for the wonderful Bostons out there that need homes. ![]() This sweet mellow guy was turned into the Humane Society at 12 years old by family after his owner passed away. Bradley was very easy going and loved everyone. He was adopted into a loving home two years ago and lived a good life in his golden years. Yesterday the time came for his family to escort him across the rainbow bridge. Our hearts go out to Bradley's family. Run free, sweet boy! ![]() Sweet and beautiful Spirit, adopted in January 2020, sadly was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease three months later. Despite our own efforts and her new owner’s for making sure she received the veterinary care and medications she needed, Spirit went to the rainbow bridge to wait for her owner who gave her the trust and love she deserved in a forever home. RIP, Spirit |
