Petunia and her best-friend, Peony were dropped at the shelter by their owner.  The girls were split up and Petunia went to sit at a Petsmart store for adoption and Peony was left behind at the shelter.  Petunia was "adopted' by someone an hour before we could get there to bring her into rescue.  Much to our dismay we learned the adopter had returned her to the shelter due to a simple URI.  This sad fiasco for Petunia turned out to be a saving grace for her as well as her best-friend, Peony.  AZBTR made the decision to save both girls together, even though Peony is not a BT but a darling terrier mix with wild hair.  We are grateful for the donor who sponsored Peony to be able to stay with Petunia.  These girls will be very happy together in a new home!!  Petunia was seen by our Vet on to get her treated for her URI.  Petunia is very sweet and loves to play tug, soft beds, going walks, sunbathing and is good in the car.
