-DORI-This sweet gal was found on the reservation following people trying to get their attention. She finally got someones attention who took her in from the heat and gave her some water and a quiet place to lay. AZBTR was contacted and we went right over to pick her up. She had an eye that had ruptured and she was in much pain. We immediately got her to the emergency vets who did surgery to remove the eye. She has some healing to do and will not be available for adoption for some time. Update: Dori is doing so well, we are all amazed and very happy for her. The feeding tube is out! Her eye ulcer has almost healed so she's getting much more sleep without being disturbed around the clock. The sutures in her left eye have come out. While there is still some swelling in the area it does not require anything but time to resolve. She loves her food, takes her meds without a fuss and is very reliably house trained!! She is also very tolerant of the 4 other Boston Terrorists in the house. She is happiest rolling on her back in the grass, sitting in the sun after breakfast and finding a soft bed that is not already occupied. She does not try to get on furniture or human's beds. She follows her foster mom everywhere if she's awake and seems to know her 'new' name. She is a true joy to foster and she will be missed by the humans in the home when she chooses her "forever family" soon.
