Sweet Bee joined us from the southern AZ Humane Society shelter where she had been returned by the people who adopted her just 6 mo. ago. She is now very weak, missing some of her coat and very, very itchy. The rescue routine of high quality food, soothing baths and oral antihistamines have been started. She will be seeing the Vet ASAP to make her more comfortable. Her left eye had been surgically removed during her initial stay at the Humane Society. A dental was also done in 2013 by HSSA. She has adjusted well, as all of our other monocular BT alum. She is a very sweet and cuddly girl. 5/31 UPDATE --- Bee will be feeling better now that she is on medicine. We're happy to report she does not have d-mange causing her itchiness. The Vet at Green Valley gave her a prednisone shot at no charge to help speed her recovery. She also charmed them into a no-charge ear cleaning as they were terribly neglected. A good routine of hygiene and a diet of wholesome, high-quality foods along with time will go a long way in helping Bee return to the happy and healthy girl she should be.
