***ADOPTION PENDING*** DAVEY JONES- Arrghhh!  This little pirate came from the county shelter where he was given up by his previous owners.  He has a cloudy eye and a healing ulcer on that eye.  He will go in to the eye specialist to see if the eye can be saved and so far the prognosis looks good.  He is extremely overweight and is missing a paw on his back left leg which we were told he was born with.  Yes.....he has a peg leg but he gets around just fine and it does not bother him at all. Once we bring him down to a healthy weight it will take the strain away from his three legs and we hope to see him running in no time!  He is a sweet dog with a great disposition so far.  We will update his bio as he transforms. **UPDATE** Great news!  The eye specialist has told us that he will keep his eye even though he can't see from it.  It does not hurt him and all he needs are regular re-wetting drops to keep the eye moist.  Also he has lost 2 lbs since being with AZBTR!  He weighed in at a whopping 31lbs when we got him and now with food portions and daily walks he is at 29lbs!  Yay Davey!
