-Ray Charles- We were contacted by an Animal Shelter volunteer to take a visually impaired Boston Terrier. He was found on the side of the road following a fence line lost and confused. He was picked up and brought into rescue, it appeared that Ray was around 4 years old and had cataracts in both eyes. We felt that with his age it looked promising for his recovery of sight through cataract surgery. We took him to eye care for animals and was checked out and given approval for surgery. After many months of fundraising for the surgery, we are happy to say that Ray has his eyesight back. His fosters did a wonderful job taking care of him and made sure that he got his needed eye drops several times a day. He is on the big side...around 36 pounds and is very affectionate. He is still healing at his foster home. Ray's surgery has gone very well! A huge thank you to his foster family for taking on such a long-term project. A very sweet and cooperative project though---. His last follow-up with Eye Care surgeon will be on 2/22.
