Sweet little Katie came to us when her owner suddenly passed away and she was in danger of being turned into Payson Animal Control. A kind lady took her in, treated her for ear allergie issues, and then called AZBTR. She was adopted by a senior gentleman who lives in Mesa in July 2008. Unfortunately his new wife's dog and Katie did not get along, so she was returned to rescue. Katie has had an emotional journey so far and we can tell it has taken its toll. She is a timid girl and will need a home where they will give her the time she needs to open up and learn to trust her people. Katie has been placed with a wonderful woman on the west side of town. She has several older rescue dogs at home and one youngster. Katie is doing very well so far being a part of her new pack. She shares her new mom with canine siblings Torey, Toby, Teddy, Gordy, and three kitty cats. After only a short time in her new home her new mom wanted to finalize the adoption. Katie is comfortable and happy in her new forever home! We get frequent updates on Katie and she is doing GREAT!! She is playing and loving her new mom and her new mom loves her.
