Mocha came to us from the AZ Humane Society. He was found as a stray, underweight and limping on his hind leg. Blood tests determined he has Valley Fever with bone lesions in the hip and leg joints. Despite his pain, he is usually a sweet boy and very observant of his surroundings with his big chocolate eyes. His foster says he has a cute little "droid-like" waddle when he is excited to eat or get small milk bone treats. He loves teen to adult people, and other dogs (including bigger ones). He enjoys going on walks, though some days he needs a shorter distance and a slower pace because of his limp. Above all, Mocha LOVES to sunbathe. His ideal home would include a securely fenced access to outside as much as he wants and no small children. Though he is housebroken, he is hesitant about the dog door (for unknown reasons), which may result in little puddles at times (mostly at night). His foster family continues to work with him on this skill. He requires twice daily medication to improve and control his disease, so a commitment to on-going veterinary monitoring and medication from his adoptive family would be essential.
