-COOPER- This 17 lb sweet boy is just over 1 yr old.  He is undergoing some eye treatment for a scratch and is responding well to medication and will be neutered soon.  He loves humans yet has a strong case of separation anxiety.  Cooper has spent a good part of his life on the streets and has been caring for himself.  The hair on his back is bleached from being outside a great deal.  With his background, he will need a home that understands the importance of structure and consistency to help him learn how to simply be a dog.  He is working hard and showing great strides in walking on a leash, sits & downs, and crate training.  He has  done well with slow introductions to other dogs once he is calm and he absolutely loves the girls :).  His forever home will need to help him gain confidence by continuing his training and will exercise him daily. He is a major cuddle bug that will steal your heart for years to come.

****Update:  Cooper's bloodwork came back from the vet and he has tested positive for Valley Fever.  Please feel free to visit the following site for more information on this disease in dogs:

**At this time we are not accepting any new applications for Cooper as we have many pre approved homes already patiently awaiting.
